Steven L. Stemerman

Steve joined McCracken Stemerman & Holsberry (previously Davis, Cowell & Bowe) in 1975, specializing in labor, employment and trust fund matters. He also helped initiate and prosecute a number of major class action cases related to his legal specialties. He has handled cases of significant legal import ranging from state and federal trial courts, appellate courts, as well as cases in the Supreme Courts of California, Nevada and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Steve has handled numerous labor arbitrations and NLRB cases representing unions throughout the Western United States. He was lead negotiator for a number of unions in their major industry agreements. Steve has successfully mediated settlements in a number of large national class action cases.

After 42 years as a partner at MS&H, Steve has transitioned to Senior Counsel status effective January 2023.
